A deep 3-part dive into this beloved slapstick comedy compilation by Leonid Gaidai, - that by many is deemed one of the best Soviet movies EVER and an ideal gateway film for Russian language learners. "Operation Y and Shurik's Other Adventures" (Операция „Ы“ и другие приключения Шурика, 1965) consists of 3 novellas and today we're looking at the first one, "The Workbuddy", which is the most hilarious AND the most controversial of the bunch.
