Learn how to solve inequalities involving one variable and graph the solution on a number in this video math tutorial by Mario's Math Tutoring. We go through 5 examples of increasing difficulty. We discuss what happens to the inequality sign when you multiply or divide both sides of the inequality by a negative number. We discuss the importance of getting the variable on the left side of the inequality sign and tips for knowing which way to graph the inequality on the number line. Some of the examples involve working with fractions, the distributive property, and one of the examples is a special case where there is no solution.
